UPDATES JUNE 2

With the lifting of mandates effective June 1, the following rules and recommendations apply.

Below are now requirements:

  • Do not gather in groups larger than 25.
  • Stay home if you are not feeling well

Below are some recommendations:

  • Make a tee time, either online or by calling, before arriving at the course. Booking a time ensures you can play.
  • Consider walking instead of taking a cart. Multiple riders per cart are now allowed.
  • Avoid using cash or credit card.
  • Enter your scores or look up your handicap information at home or download the GHIN app for your phone to avoid using our handicap computer located in the Players' Lounge.
  • Wash your hands frequently, and sanitize after touching surfaces. Do not touch flag sticks or rakes if you are not comfortable doing so.
  • If you store your clubs with us, consider taking them home with you to limit interaction

DINING AND DRINKS

With the softening of mandates, Player’s Lounge has been opened for limited seating in addition to clubhouse seating. Please be familiar with our dining procedures >

TEE-TIMES

Please do not expect to get on the course without a tee-time. Golf courses operate efficiently with a well-organized tee-sheet. Under normal operation, one of the perks of being a Lochland member is the availability of tee-times. However, with schools being closed, businesses shut down, and tee-time intervals more spread out, the tee-sheet has been filling up. To keep things running smoothly, members safe, and people happy, the Golf Shop staff can no longer “squeeze” you in. Additionally, we cannot create back nine tee-times. We will do our best to accommodate you, but be aware, without a tee-time, you may not be able to play.

UPDATES APRIL 9, 2020

To Our Valued Members and Guests,

With the current Public Health Order that the State of Nebraska is under, ALL MEMBERS AND GUESTS MUST REMAIN 6 FEET APART AT ALL TIMES, AND THERE CANNOT BE ANY GATHERING OF 10 OR MORE. The Heath Order is in effect everywhere on Lochland's property, including before and after your round, "tailgating" in the parking lot, use of practice facilities, placing orders in the Players' Lounge, and even restrooms/locker rooms. The Golf Shop and Maintenance Staff will continue to limit traffic and "touchpoints" throughout our operation, but it up to the Membership to follow this current Public Health Order. We are in communication with the South Heartland District Health Department, and while our current operation is compliant with regulations, we need continued support of our required and recommended procedures to keep open for all members.

Below are now requirements:

  • Leave the flags in the cups when playing

  • Stay six feet away from anybody at any time

  • Do not "gather" before and after your round

  • Do not consume any food or drink inside any building on Lochland property

  • One person per cart *People living in the same household may ride together*

  • Stay home if you are not feeling well

Below are some recommendations:

  • Make a tee time, either online or by calling, before arriving at the course. Booking a time ensures you can play

  • Consider walking instead of taking a cart

  • Avoid using cash or credit card

  • Enter your scores or look up your handicap information at home or download the GHIN app for your phone to avoid using our handicap computer located in the Players' Lounge.

  • Dispose of your trash and take your scorecard and pencil with you after use

  • Wash your hands frequently

  • If you store your clubs with us, consider taking them home with you to limit interaction

INDOOR GOLF

We will only be allowing two people in the simulator at a time. With the current Heath Order in place, there is no way a group of patrons can be in the Pool Cafe and safely remain six feet apart at all times. Online tee times for the simulator will no longer be available, please call the Golf Shop to book a time - 402-462-8783

Below are the extra measures that the Lochland Staff have implemented.

  • Golf Shop Staff will be disinfecting entry points every 30 minutes

  • All Golf Carts will have the keys left in the ignition, so there will be no need to come "check-in."

  • Intervals of tee times have increased from 9 minutes to 12 minutes, to keep overall traffic low.

  • The Range Ball Bin locked is now locked, and the baskets are removed. Staff will set up pyramids on the Driving Range if you are looking to practice or warm-up.

  • Our free tees are available, but offered in portion-sized baggies. Please only grab tees when needed.

  • We still offer club storage; however, head covers will not be removed, and irons will remain in the bag to avoid staff touching the grips.

  • Staff will be wearing gloves when handling carts and bags.

  • Golf Carts are disinfected after each use

  • Sand bottles have been removed

  • Rakes, ball washers, sand and seed containers, and water stations have been removed. Some trash cans have been removed to limit staff interaction.

  • Before and after every group in the simulator, the counter, chairs, tees, golf balls, monitor, keyboard, mouse, tv remotes, doorknobs, and bar top will be disinfected.

  • Golf Shop Staff are to stay home if not feeling well.

Our staff and Board are constantly evaluating input from local and national leaders, as well as observing what other courses, restaurants, and country clubs are doing in the state. We will make revisions to procedures and policies as needed, and communicate updates to members through email, website, and social media. We hope you come out and play. Golf is a wonderful activity that we all can enjoy, and I want everyone to feel safe when they are here.

The staff and I will do what we can, but it will be a team effort, and we will need your help.

We are still looking to host the Pepsi Tournament on May 30th and 31st. Hopefully, by that time, the Pandemic has subsided, and we can gather in large groups again. If we do reschedule, you will not need to re-enter, but please let me know if you are unable to play.

UPDATES POSTED 3/24/2020

The health of our Members, Guests, and Staff is my #1 concern during these challenging times. To keep our golf course and practice facilities open and safe to use, the Golf Shop and Maintenance Staff will be making some changes to limit traffic and "touchpoints" throughout our operation. Our Staff and Board are constantly evaluating input from local and national leaders, as well as observing what other courses, restaurants, and country clubs are doing in the state. We will make revisions to procedures and policies as needed, and communicate updates to members through email, website, and social media.

GOLF SHOP AND PRACTICE AREAS

The Golf Shop is a high traffic area, and to limit that traffic, the Golf Shop Staff will be taking extra steps to keep the traffic minimal.

  • Golf Shop Staff are to stay home if not feeling well.
  • All Golf Carts will have the keys left in the ignition, so there will be no need to come "check-in."
  • We increased the intervals of tee times from 9 minutes to 12 minutes, to keep overall traffic low at any given time.
  • We will be keeping the Range Ball Bin locked, and the baskets will be removed. Staff will set up pyramids on the Driving Range if you are looking to practice or warm-up.
  • Our Free Tees will still be available but offered through portion sized baggies. We ask that you only grab tees when needed.
  • We will still offer club storage; however, head covers will not be removed, and irons will remain in the bag to avoid Staff touching the grips.

GOLF CARTS

Golf Carts will be available upon request, and single-rider cart requests will be honored based on availability. The Golf Shop staff will be disinfecting all carts before and after use. Additionally, sand bottles have been removed, and we ask that you take your scorecard and pencil with you after use.

GOLF COURSE AND PLAY

  • During play, please practice "social distancing."
  • Rakes, ball washers, sand and seed containers, and water stations have been removed for your safety. Some of the trash cans have also been removed to limit Staff interaction.
  • Play "improved lies" in the bunkers.
  • When putting, please leave the Flags in and avoid touching them. We will be placing a piece of pool noodle in the holes to keep the ball from going all the way to the bottom.

INDOOR GOLF

Before and after every group, the counter, chairs, tees, golf balls, monitor, keyboard, mouse, tv remotes, doorknobs, and bar top will be disinfected. We ask that you wash your hands before playing, and to use the hand sanitizer provided.

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP?

All of these changes are a team effort. As part of this team, I am asking the membership to try and help us out by doing the following:

  • Only enter the Golf Shop when necessary
  • Enter your scores or look up your handicap information at home or download the GHIN app for your phone to avoid using our handicap computer located in the Players' Lounge.
  • Set up tee times online and avoid paying in cash
  • Leave the flags in the cups when playing
  • Dispose of your trash properly
  • Wash your hands frequently
  • If you store your clubs with us, consider taking them home with you to limit interaction
  • Consider walking instead of taking a cart
  • Stay home if you are not feeling well

Golf is one of the only things we can do while still following the "social distancing" recommendation. We hope you come out and play. The Staff and I will do what we can to keep Lochland safe, but it will be a team effort, and we will need your help.

Stay safe!
